I've developed a mild (or maybe not so mild) obsession with late 19th century Spanish painting. Of particular interest to me are Fortuny and those in his Roman circle. Here are two studies of the former's work, and one from Sorolla. Expect plenty more studies of this group.

I see you never update your CA SB so I came to your blog to see what you up to. Seems like you have been rather busy. Your stuff are getting soooo good. Especially like the oil paintings you posted in Nov 10. Noticed a lot of sorolla studies.. Great copies ! Keep it up...
You've certainly captured the feeling of the Spanish portraitists while adding a "little" of your own spin on it.
